The Nordic Vikings are my blood ancestors while the Shaolin Buddhist are my spiritual ancestors and teachers. I have often hoped that my Viking ancestors had put down their desire for war and conquest and learned to live with their fellow humans in a world of cooperation. As I did research I discovered that archeologist thought that many Nordic tribes did just that. Perhaps among those Viking voyagers my great grandparents from 100 generations ago found their way to the Shaolin Buddhists in China. From this jade Buddha story I was inspired to tell such a story. And so I worked on over 100 Shaolin and Viking illustrations. This is the first volume of those illustrated stories. Enjoy.
