Description

Rex is bored. All his friends are out of town and it's raining outside. There is absolutely nothing to do...until his "Bad Hair" suggests that they go surfing. So their adventure begins. Bad Wave features a boy named Rex and his Bad (but well-intentioned) Hair. Rex and his hair are unique. For one thing, no matter how much Rex combs, Bad Hair promptly reverts to its natural, untidy state. It's as if Bad Hair has it's own personality, which, it turns out, it does. You see, Rex's hair not only looks different from most kids' hair, it also does something no other hair does--It talks! Bad Wave is an entertaining story about the vicissitudes of friendship and the power of imagination. Ages 3-7

A great surfing daydream, beautifully illustrated and very funny. I follow Rex and His Bad Hair on Facebook and have always enjoyed his rye humor and unique graphics. This book is going to be a cult classic with my nephews!

First of all, I’m looking forward to many adventures from Rex and his Bad Hair! ‘Bad Wave’ is a fun first start to those adventures. It’s set up nicely, with sort of a little angel and devil on your shoulder kind of day-dreamy vibe, with Bad Hair as the mischevous little devil that gets Rex into trouble. The retro-style illustrations are what make it, though. The color tones are sublime. This is just a fun book for your 10 and under. Go get it.
