I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was witty but not exactly funny. More like lighthearted while touching on very real emotions and painful pasts. I think the best message is that genuine is so much more attractive than beautiful outward appearances that are shallow on the inside. I found the book hard to put down as it moved right along and flowed beautifully.

It started out boring. It was hard to like CJ in the beginning but it got a little better. Not interested enough to continue with the series.

The downside is, there were too many family members for the length of the story (tho definitely want to hear more about Mitch). I just wanted more about CJ and Chase than I got. And possibly the billionaire thing was over the top, but it was fantasy fun. The upside is the characters of CJ and Chase. Love them, and I love them together. *** I had just finished reading about Lexie and Jim in the Hawaii series, also loved both of them.

I truly enjoyed the book. I liked that it was surrounded with family. I enjoyed the wondering that you were left with.

Really enjoyed the book, but was disappointed that the jarheads were called soldiers & I never saw a female corpsman. They were never called a marine only CORPSMAN. A corpsman was the most valuable person in the unit. At least in the ‘60s
