Description

The third and final book in Lauren Oliver’s powerful New York Times bestselling trilogy about forbidden love, revolution, and the power to choose.

Now an active member of the resistance, Lena has transformed. The nascent rebellion has ignited into an all-out revolution, and Lena is at the center of the fight.

After rescuing Julian from a death sentence, Lena and her friends fled to the Wilds. But the Wilds are no longer a safe haven. Pockets of rebellion have opened throughout the country, and the government cannot deny the existence of Invalids. Regulators infiltrate the borderlands to stamp out the rebels.

As Lena navigates the increasingly dangerous terrain of the Wilds, her best friend, Hana, lives a safe, loveless life in Portland as the fiancée of the young mayor. They live side by side in a world that divides them until, at last, their stories converge.

  • Very disappointing

The series in all was not entertaining. I had hoped that perhaps if I continued reading it might get better, I was sorely mistaken. Apart from Julian and Lena there was no chemistry between any of the characters, not even with Alex! The story was lifeless and the writing was dull. There was too much repetition of certain description, making it seem like the author was new at writing or was running out of ideas. I think the author just got lazy when writing the ending, it was disappointing even to someone who didn’t really like the book. I am surprised it became so popular, obviously people don’t know what a good book is.

Honestly- I hate cliff hangers. I hate them with a passion… and I would usually say I want a book to give me closure. I’ve never been okay with a cliff hanger before now. I think she did a GREAT job finishing this book. She left it with enough closure that I was okay with it, I have questions, but I also know the characters do too. I don’t feel like she left us with questions that the characters had answers to. Also- for all you review people who give spoilers… 😒😒 shame on you 😒😒 (also, my 5 star review does NOT mean that I agree with the main characters decisions haha)

This entire series had me obsessed.. OBSESSED! I literally never write reviews, but I had to this time. First of all, that kiss.. THE KISS! I knew Alex loved her, why did he have to be soo immature. It’s obvious he knows she loves him, but let’s be real.. we (even him) thought he died! He wanted her to live on & that’s what she did. She didn’t intend to find someone else, but trauma bonding is real! Lena and Julian went through some THANGS together. So here I am rambling, but the whole reason I decided to leave a review is because of the ending.. they start taking down the wall & then what? Is this happening in other states too? What’s happening to the zombies.. are they kicking them out of their homes? Did Lena let Julian down over Alex? Did tack know raven was pregnant..??! There’s sooo many questions that I need answers too! It would really be epic if Lauren put out just one more book to really give everyone the closure that we’re seeking. That’s is it, that’s all.. I’m out!

This series is one of the best I have ever read!! I don’t know if it’s possible to like a series more than I loved this one.

The ending left you on a cliffhanger and is super disappointing and leaves many questions unanswered.

I’m 14 and every other review is older than half my age on here, but from an modern point of view, I think delirium was the best book. I was told to get a book for the dystopian unit we were going through and chose delirium immediately because of the description. But after that it just went downhill. Pandemonium was an opening for something, there were so many ways to finish the book but making a love triangle it felt so forced. I was extremely disappointed. And then requiem, I wouldn’t care how it ended if it had an ending . The ending was just her tearing down a wall like I felt like we could’ve gotten more. But I’ll give three stars since Alex and Lena are somewhat together. Too many holes; who did Lena pick, raven and tack, what happens next. This could’ve been the ultimate series this book could’ve been something extraordinary but it was nothing but a disappointment, an eternity of waiting for something good to happen and as soon as it happens the book ends. Lauren Oliver is an amazing author but this was an extreme let down of a book.

I read this series as a teen and wanted to revisit it. After finishing the last book, let me say what a disappointment! How are you going to amp up this huge battle and not even finish it! Why don’t we see what happens with the love triangle, why don’t we get a picture of what life is like after the wall comes down? So many unanswered questions, it’s like she got bored and was like you know what let me just end it right here lol.

I work in the science field and by the time my workday is done, the thought of picking up a book that’s a biography or a journal is unbearable. I’d rather break away from reality and this book did a great job of pulling you in and letting you really dig into the story. Thanks for helping forget about the day and unwind!
