Description

The #1 New York Times Bestseller | Now a series on Disney+12-year-old Percy Jackson discovers he is the son of Poseidon in the opener to the hilarious, fast-paced adventure fantasy series for young readers ages 10 and up

The eBook edition of the first book in Rick Riordan's thrilling series, filled with magic, mythology, and plenty of monstersPercy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school againβ€”he can't seem to stay out of trouble. Is he supposed to stand by while a bully picks on his scrawny best friend? Or not defend himself when his teacher turns into a monster and tries to kill him?

Mythical creatures seem to be walking straight out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology textbook and into his life. What's worse, he's angered a few of them: Zeus's master lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect.

Percy and his friends Grover the satyr, and Annabeth, the demigod daughter of Athena, must find and return Zeus's stolen property and bring peace to a warring Mount Olympus. They travel cross country to the gates of the Underworld in Los Angeles, facing a host of enemies determined to stop them.

With millions of copies and over 10 years spent on the New York Times bestseller list, Percy has also become a movie, a Broadway musical, and now a Disney+ series. He continues to find fans in classrooms and libraries across the world.

I loved this book! My friend have been badgering me about reading this for the entirety of the past school year.πŸ™„ But I can say that what they said about the book was a complete understatement! Would definitely recommend this book to other peoples. Will definitely start reading the others books in this series before and during school!

This book got me back into reading!! I have often struggled getting into books especially if the first chapter is kind of slow, but this book captured my interest and kept it the entire way!! Definitely recommend reading this one and going through the series!

I loved this book so so so much. It got me into Greek mythology. I loved the plot. Someone actually posted a PJO oc of theirs, so I thought I would do the same :) Name: Gina Lana Pronouns: she/he/they Personality: Cold, depressed, snarky, spunky, and sarcastic. (She/he/they hides depression through her smirks and remarks) Godly Parent: Hermes Appearence: Wavy black/brown hair, tan skin, blue eyes, dark blue glasses Abilities: Pretty good at archery, sword fighting. Can pick locks and steal.
  • Stellar start to a defining young adult series.

Everyone remembers the first time they picked this book up. One of the best crafted openers of its genre and age range.

Loved the story and the plot. It was clear that the author put a lot of thought and care into his characters. I will be ready the rest of the series and The Heroes of Olympus along with The Trials of Apollo. This is going to be a series I will always go back to when I want something fun to read. Can't wait to meet Will Solace and Nico di Angelo!! I was reading through the comments and I saw that one user uploaded their own OC so I will do the same just for fun (cringe warning) my Percy Jackson oc- Name: Sawako, daughter of Medusa and Poseidon Personality: cold but at the same time caring. While she might show outwardly that she am cold and stoic her heart is kind and she wants to help others in any way I can but it's just hard for me to do so. Godly Parent: Medusa and Poseidon Appearance: her eyes were white just like her mothers, thankfully she dont have Medusa's snake hair though, but she does have her 'beauty' Abilities: her powers are the same as her mother's, with one look at someone she can turn them into stone. I 100% RECOMMEND THIS FOR ANYONE WHO LIKES HE HP SERIES!! I WOULD ALSO RECOMMEND THE NEW DISNEY+ SHOW FOR THE PJO SERIES STARING WALKER, LEAH, (the actor for Grover because I don't know it on the tip of my tongue sorry), DIOR, AND CHARLIE. (DO NOR WATCH THE MOVIES THEY WILL RUIN THE PJO SERIES FOR YOU)

This book is the best I have ever read. Usually I don’t like to read, after I read it for a school project, I decided that I will read the entire series and watch the movies because it was so good.

Reading this book was like being in my own world while knowing they’re still on earth sometimes. The descriptions of all the characters, the places, even their personalities were explained so subtly. Am absolutely in love with this book and would add it to my collection of paperbacks if i could!
