Description

Love in the hood ain't easy.

Sissell never thought her husband would leave her with two daughters and no job.

Now … all she wants is a little fun while fighting the hardest battle of her life.

She never meant to fall in love, especially not with some street thug.

Jamal's king of the hood and owner of the hottest club in Atlanta.

His cousin Dassante wants him to go legit, but until Sissell walked into the club, he had no reason to.

Now he's ready.

But … it ain't easy getting out when everyone wants you dead.

Charmita's in love with a user and abuser, but she can't leave him.

Not even with Dassante telling her he loves her and treating her so good

Dassante doesn't get what Charmita sees in that man.

If he hurts her again, he's dead.

He's been waiting on Charmita for two years, and he's done waiting.

Either she gives that man up for good and lets him love her, or he's out.

Can anyone find happiness when their lives and souls are on the line?

Oh Lord, where to begin. The book started out fairly attention grabbing. But as the story developed it became clear that this is some fake street fairytale story. The characters were severely under developed with only knowing that the two main character women wear size 10 don’t know if they’re tall or short light skin, dark skin, pretty ugly, and the same can be said with the two male main characters. There was literally no description for the reader to paint a picture on how the characters looked. The story became inconsistent with decision-making. as many luxury items Jamall buys, The writer never goes into detail and explain exactly how much money he made from the activities he partook in. There was a gap where the detectives were looking for the murderer and it all seem to just die. Lastly, I am going to die on this hill, for a book that has been edited and published professionally to have grammatical and punctuation mistakes really upset me. All in all I put this book in a category for just something to read. Not reading it for stimulation, not reading to be enticed not reading to learn anything not even reading to escape into a different world. It’s literally just something to read.

♥ This book is great!! Full of suprises and a close step inside a younger womans lifestyle! I think that these type of books are great medicene for the soul! We could at some point all relate to what she endures in this story! I also love how this book is relevant to our generation these days!! 💯

This book wasn’t bad at all but very predictable to me. I knew what was happening before it did. Everything seem very rushed and moved way to fast. The story line was awesome I just wish it was slower and more detailed.
