Description

Over 8 million copies sold around the world. The original book from Morgan Housel, the New York Times bestselling author of Same As Ever. Doing well with money isn't necessarily about what you know. It's about how you behave. And behavior is hard to teach, even to really smart people. Money – investing, personal finance, and business decisions – is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don't make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money and teaches you how to make better sense of one of life's most important topics.

Grew up and a small town of Broward County, Fort Lauderdale, Florida back in those days reading you would get Laughed at and mocked just for being seen reading a book at school now that I’m an adult. I finally been given the opportunity and freedom to read and develop as a man.

It was okay, psychologically attempting but no real strategy you can find in this book.

I would propose a constitutional amendment that this book be designated as “Required Reading” for all Americans. Too much insight and wisdom contained within to list here, but I can think of few documents that have genuinely stopped me in my tracks the way this one did.

I truly loved the book I felt like not only did I get financial views but at the same time view points for life generally which I could correlate the two

The author seems like the Puritan believing the power of saving. I am willing to respect his belief. However, the world that we know is dramatically changing. The fiat money is collapsing and the new crypto currency is emerging. This book has the unique meaning in that all of us are always overwhelmed by money so we should keep it in mind regardless of advocating the fiat money or crypto currency. The essence of the money won’t budge all the time.

The book’s… OK… but it feels much less like financial advice and more like a bunch of folk tales lionizing Warren Buffet and his pals. There are much better/more-useful financial books out there.
