The Secret of Seaside

This book gives a great summer and cute beach town feels! It has the perfect hint of romance as well as drama and mystery. There's always something keeping you interested. I haven’t finished a full chapter book in a while but I finished this in a matter of 3 days. I also like how the author describes things enough for you to picture it but not so much where it’s a bore to read. I really like this book and all the different aspects it offers. Definitely should give it a try!

Nicely written. Not a particularly good mystery but the characters are engaging. I will try the next. Hopefully Paige will be a little less gaga over Nate as they get to know each other better. Also Nate needs a dog.

Cute, but the attitude s bit flippant for me.

Paige doesn’t exactly look forward to a summer working in her Granny’s bookshop. She loves baking the pastries for their tiny coffee shop and the island has a generous amount of beach. Her best friend, Johnny, also happens to run a surf shop there. Then a handsome stranger livens up her workday. Turns out he is the nephew of the island curmudgeon. But he doesn’t get long to reconnect with his long lost relative. And now Paige wants to play amateur detective. This hits all the hallmarks of a cozy mystery: cute pet, amateur sleuth, bumbling lawmaker, and romantic interest. So it was the mindless, quick read I was looking for.

The thought of enjoying a private beach makes this story inviting. It is a relief defined by the decision to coming here and living in a remarkable life! Enjoy! Thank you

Loved this book and all of the characters.

Especially when I can’t figure them out and have to read to the end to find out. This was a fun read for me.

Fun and enjoyable read

A comfort read

Only regret is that I wasn’t at a cottage by a seaside town reading this story. Some of the characters were quirky, but not unbelievable. Granny and Johnny were my favorites, and the humor that popped up unexpectedly was much appreciated. Some authors try to sound funny but it comes off stilted. This author’s humor was pure and spoke to my sarcastic funny bone. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
