Description

A dark, high-heat dystopian romance about a brotherhood of modern-day Vikings from USA Today bestseller Megan Crane. Perfect for fans of Laura Thalassa and L.J. Shen.

In a world of ruin, possession is the only mercy.

Tyr survives the end of the world the way he’s survived everything else—by taking what he wants and never looking back.

Then a resupply raid turns up something unexpected: a fierce, beautiful prisoner who looks at Tyr like she’d rather slit his throat than submit. Tyr’s alpha instincts give way to something much darker—a strong, unquenchable craving that cannot be ignored…or denied. He wants her—too much.

And that’s the most dangerous weakness of all.

Everyone knows these steel-eyed, hardware-wielding, tattooed Viking raiders are monsters. But Helena isn’t scared of monsters, and she has a mission of her own. After two years on the run, she knows she just has to bide her time and escape when the moment is right.

But the man who claims her is nothing like she imagined.

As desire scorches into obsession and enemies close in, Helena has to decide how far she’s willing to go—and what she’s willing to lose.

I really wanted to like this but it’s painfully slow. The plot seemed interesting but it was so hard to force interest due to so much unnecessary information. It takes forever to get to a point.

This is a new author for me. It has Great world building. Such a fresh idea. Viking types in a post apocalyptic world....genius. Well written, extremely sexy barbarians. Lots of steamy heathen sex Hubba Hubba!! I couldn't put it down and couldn't stop thinking about it while life interrupted my reading. Well written, did is say that already? Plot was awesome, characters likable and understandable as well. No grammar or spelling errors either, which is becoming a regular problem. I'm planning on reading all her books. Definitely recommended if you like this genre.
